Hi friends, I will share the story with you all. I want to tell you when I for the first time to evacuate because of Merapi eruption. Unforgettable story that happened to me and the family. My house is located in Geblok, Wukirsari, Cangkringan, Sleman 12 km to the south from the peak of Merapi. I totally did not expect that vomit and hot clouds of volcanic material Merapi in 2010 until the Gendol river east of my home. In fact, far to the south, past Bronggang and get to Plumbon, Sindumartani, Ngemplak. Little did I not imagine, just a lot of fatalities occur in the vicinity of the area.
On the day Thursday, November 4th 2010, since the morning of my family actually being asked to evacuate. At that time, Merapi is always out hot clouds that soar. Not like eruption in previous years, Merapi this time it erupted explosively and persistent. Thundering voice sounded so loud. Moreover, people started flocking north toward the south. However, I still survive, not to evacuate.
Today was the afternoon, rumbling Merapi persisted, even more intense. The streets began to empty. The village seemed deserted. Astaghfirullah, thick fog enveloped even come. Eve was very cold. The eye becomes very limited. Practically, my family and I could no longer look to the peak of Merapi.
When you sign Maghrib time, rumbling Merapi occurred so great, until the thrill shutters, doors, and lamps. In fact, we thought we had an earthquake. After Maghrib prayers my mother and sister fled to the place grandfather, a distance of about 2 km from my house. I did not evacuate because the waiting time involved Isya’ Prayer.
After the prayer Isya’, I did not immediately evacuate because I had to keep the village together with my brothers and other residents. Vibration never subsided, the fog was still thick. not long after my mother called me for me to be careful and immediately evacuate. It was very cold weather and volcanic ash began to fall. Then I rushed to evacuate the place my grandfather.

There is also the clamor was so loud, but even so I could sleep. At 12.00 pm I was awakened by my uncle to immediately evacuate again. We fled the place a bit far. On the way, the electricity goes out and it was raining mud. Long story short, my refuge in Macanan, Bimomartani, Ngemplak. I, my mother and my sister apart with my grandfather and uncle, because a very serious situation that night.
Next morning, we saw the television. Astaghfirullahal'adzim ... lava flow reached in Bronggang even further. I went straight to Bronggang and see what happens. The heat was felt there. Carcasses of cattle very much. Long story short, I returned to Macanan and direct refugees to the Prambanan because of the situation in Macanan very much with volcanic ash and worry are still high. In Prambanan I fled for 4 days. Then we fled back to where my grandfather and uncle fled. Here I and family flee for 10 days. Long story short, Merapi has been deemed safe, we returned home to his grandfather and has notndared to return to Geblok because alot of vulcanic ash.
We went back to Geblok after all the net from volcanic ash. Finally, thanks Gud, praise to God who gives salvation to us. May we always have protection from Allah SWT. Amiinn.. ^^
